Jack McCoy had given his favourite Alaia to a good friend in California and I said I would make him another just like it. He sent me the length which I wrote as 5 7 on the small chunk of wood which was serving as the order form. So I made a very nice 5’7 alaia for Jack. I thought it was a bit long, but that is what I wrote.\n\nJack calls and said it is longer than his favorite and “what happened?”. Well, it was 57 inches or 4’9\". I promise to make another as soon as I get a round to it. Jack says he will send one to me overnight if that what it takes. We laugh.\n\nYes, we have got a roundtoit. I have been searching a for blog that is stream of consciousness for what is happening here and the people that come through. Writing is actually more effort and diluted than just making a video. This is our first show and it gets the inertia happening. About 23 years ago Richard Pavel gave me a great piece of wisdom.\n\nI had just made an enormous mess making my first big EPS surfboard from a large rectangle of foam. It was done and not all that spectacular. Rich said, \"This is the biggest jump. From 0 to 1 is an infinite leap. From 1 to 2 or 1 to 100 is nothing compared to the distance between 0 to 1.
